North, along the Pacific Coast Highway

Clinging to the Lucia's near Big Sur.

Past Monterey Bay and Santa Cruz ... leaving the coast of Big Sur to the south.

These are the State's most magnificient beaches.

Do I care if the water is cold?

And what headlands!

Pause at the Claremont Hotel & Spa to watch the sun set below the Golden Gate Bridge.

North up the Mendicino coast, to share the links with some deer at Little River.

And canoe up the Big River with the tide, then float back down to the coast.

Then fish and chips at Captain Flints in Fort Bragg.
Just north PCH ends ... the coast is just too rugged.
But turn inland, and the Giant Redwood Forest awaits.
