Looking Out Our Back Door

Our first year was felling dead and dying trees, bucking them, splitting and stacking them.
We heat our house exclusively with our wood stove. Time to hang up the axe, and go skiiing.

Deer live in our front yard, wild turkeys visit it, black, brown, blond, cinnamon, and
the occasional grizzly bear wanders through it, as do coyotes who sing to us at night.
Meanwhile golden, and bald, eagles soar overhead. A red-tail hawk perches in a tree
just outside our bedroom windows. In addition, we meet moose, caribou, and elk on the
drive to our son the horse farmer, and his two kids.
Living here in Kaslo is our daughter with a son almost 3, and a 4 month old baby boy.
